2.4-D is moderate acute toxic and irritating to eyes, but these characteristics is comparable to the alternative preparations or active substances. In addition there are some studies indicating a risk of cancer in soft tissue and lymph, but the evidence isn't strong enough to label the product for risk of cancer.

Reduced risk of cancer in people normally using pesticides with the agricultural needs covered by Weedar 64.
